A
recent survey found that most women think good looks are key
to successful careers. What do you think?
It’s
true for men and women. All things same ... tall handsome men
succeed more than those who are less personable. Same applies
to women. In fact it’s the same for all human beings on this
planet. Why get into a argument on ‘bias’?

Not
at all. The first few moments at an interview do emphasise on
the physical appearance (turn out) for which it is necessary
to be groomed smartly but one is called for an interview based
on the qualifications/experience not on looks (unless and
until it is for a modelling or airhostess or other fashion
industry related job) - it has been proven time and time again
that you need to have the ability to perform your job
functions to be able to progress in your field.

I
think no In all kind of profession more than the look, the
qualification and ability counts the most.

Good
looks can in no way be considered as key to successful
careers. If it is a career, which is related to looks, it may
make a difference. Otherwise on intellectual side or other
fields looks have the last place.
I
can give my example, I am a Chartered Accountant and working
as a Chief Accountant for Al Huzaifa Furniture I never felt
that I have achieved anything less because of my looks. I have
confidence in myself and in my work that is what has made me
successful in my career.
I
personally feel that confidence, hardwork and devotion towards
work are required to become successful in life.

Yes,
it is indeed correct.

I
think it is one of reasons. Being good looking is a favourable
attribute. But one would have to work hard and be friendly
with others.
Candy,
China
It’s
true.
