Doctors have pointed out the harmful effects of proliferation of cell phones amongst children. Is there a need to ban children from using cell phones ?

I think children should not be banned from using cell phones because it is the best way to contact parents when they go out with friends, for outings etc..

No, according to doctors, its harmful effects of proliferation may affect not only children but elders also. So according to me there is no meaning of ban. The parents can control their children in using the mobile phones.

Definitely, children should be banned from using cellphones just as children are banned from smoking. Our children is tomorrow's youth.

Well, i'd say there is not need to Ban the Cell phones which in today's world the most effectual way of communication, but instead minimal usage of phone cell could do wonders, parent can charged limited credit for the Cell Phones of their Child and assuring them to use only when necessary could decrease Harmfull Effect.

Moreover i'd prefer to give my child a Cell Phone only when i am assured that he/she is matured enough.

Yes. There is a desperate need to pan children from using cell phones. let the children express themselves without SMS and personal dictionary, to enjoy the life without stress, to be active in life, reading, writing, listening , talking and not reactive to the life around them with SMS. We are misusing the phone cell.
